Nissan V2G – The Hottest Ride of 2030
First off – if Los Angeles is still attached to the Continental United States by 2030 we’ll all be in shock. But if The City of Angels is lucky enough to not be floating away on Pacific waves young commuters will be heading to work in a 2030 Nissan V2G – the latest concept to come out of 2009′s LA Auto Show design challenge. Everyone from Toyota to General Motors and of course Nissan took part in a competition to help mold a realistic automotive future.

Nissan’s V2G (aka – Vehicle to Grid) uses “bioresin impregnated carbon nanotube cloth” technology. Umm…not sure what the means, but doesn’t it sound really futuristic and environmentally friendly?! Nissan designers really took the 2030 “Youthmobile” concept to heart – putting together a top of the line eco-friendly vehicle – light and comprised of many recycled parts, an angle many car maker will have to take as our future unfolds.

The LA Auto Show designs included a variety of auto concepts: vehicles that incorporate human DNA, ones which changed shape, and cars that link into a mass transit system (i.e. the V2G) where drivers not only share the commute but trade music and compare class schedules.

So excited to see some automakers taking initiative on pollution issues. They will certainly lead the charge in changing the face of our global climate issues and be heroes for it. I will be doing my part by patronizing my localSt. Louis Nissan Dealer for sure.
