Nissan Hybrid To Compete With Prius by 2010
Nissan will soon have a hybrid at a dealership near you that aims to take on current hybrid models. The company has boasted better economy and faster acceleration as two of the major advantages of this new vehicle. Reports say that Nissan also plans on reducing vehicle weight 15% by 2015 in order to save more fuel. Nissan reports that its new hybrid will be a rear wheel drive model and use more electric power than models currently on the market. This model will be on the market in 2010 so for now Nissan fanatics will have to settle for the hybrid Altima which relies heavily on technology developed by Toyota.
