Nissan GT-R Finalist for World Car of the Year!
Nissan’s GT-R has received not one but TWO nominations for World Car of the Year – which will be presented on April 9th at the New York Auto Show. Both nods are for “2009 World Car of the Year” as well as “2009 World Performance Car.”
The GT-R is up against some stiff competition – other World Car finalists include Jaguar XF, Mazda6, Nissan GT-R and Volkswagen Golf VI. In the category of Performance the GT-R has to fight off the Audi RS 6, Corvette ZR1, Lamborghini LP560-4, Mercedes-Benz’s C63 AMG and SL 63 AMG, Mitsubishi Evo X and Porsche 911 Carrera. Last Year’s winner was the Mazda2.
